Online Membership Form

Please read this page completely. Once you hit the "Continue" link at the bottom
of the page you will go to the online form. First, we want to make sure you have
all the information you need in order to fill out the form.

What you need to know before joining:

If you are a current member and you want to join an additional playgroup, you can add the playgroup or specialty group by logging on to www.lasmadres.org using your username and password.

Choose "profile" which is under your name near the upper left corner of the page next to the log in. Choose "Las Madres Playgroups"from the list. This is where you can manage your playgroups.
Now you will see a list of the playgroups you belong to, and under it will be a button that says "Add Child/ Playgroup". Click this button.
Fill in the form and then click "save". You can read these instructions again, or print them out from this page:Adding a Child/.playgroup.

If you are a current member and are unsure about how to add or change a playgroup, please contact our Member Help volunteer BEFORE renewing or adding/ changing. This will help us reduce the hours we spend correcting mistakes.
Please note that Las Madres has a policy of non-transference, so if you change your mind about which playgroups you want to be a part of, you will need to add the additional playgroup as we cannot transfer playgroup dues between playgroups.
Please note that we are unable to accept payment of dues by checks. You may pay securely online via this web site. Your statement will show a charge to Club Express, who is our merchant vendor.

If you are not a current member, and know which Club Year and Playgroup you want to join or trial, please continue directly to our Online Member Registration page. The playgroup's new member contact will be in touch with information about the playgroup's activities once you have signed up.

If you need help finding a playgroup near you or are not sure what Club year you belong to, please contact a Reference Line Volunteer.

1. What membership type do you want?

Playgroup Membership:

Most members join a neighborhood playgroup where both you and your child have a local age-centric group to share park days, holiday/family events, mom's night out, etc. If you do not know what playgroup to join, you can look throgh the list of active playgroups for more information or contact a Reference Line Volunteer for assitance. Please note that you join the Club year of your child's birth. For example, if you have a child born in 2005, you will be joining a 2005 playgroup. Please note that our Working Moms playgroups are separated by year but not by geographical area. The Working Moms groups typically meet on weekend or weeknights. If you are planning to go back to work soon, you may want to trial working moms as well. You might sign up for all trial memberships at one time. After you complete the online registration form for the trial membership, you will receive an email welcoming you. An automatic notification is also sent out to the playgroup you are trialing and they will contact you with information about the playgroup.

Trial Membership (for Playgroups):

If you wish to meet the playgroup first and have a free 2 month trial period, please select Trial Membership. This type is only for trialing Playgroup memberships, not for Support Group/Alumni memberships. Please note that although at the end of the trial sign-up process and any later attempt to login, the system will prompt you to convert to a paid membership, you have the full 2 months of trial before you need to do so. You will not be able to log in to this website with a trial membership, and so you must sign up for all playgroups to trial at once. For more information read our Trial Membership Information page. After you complete the online registration form for the trial membership, you will receive an email welcoming you. An automatic notification is also sent out to the playgroup you are trialing and they will contact you with information about the playgroup within the next several days.

Support Group/Alumni Membership:

For those not interested in a Neighborhood Playgroup but still wishing to benefit from Las Madres' executive offerings such as speaker nights, discounted tickets, vendor discounts, and Membership-wide email Forums, please select the Support Group/Alumni Membership. Alumni members and those wishing to join only a Forum group, including ChitChat, SearchNFind, our Social and Support groups, should also choose the Support Group/Alumni Membership type. If you are unsure if you want to join a playgroup or not, please trial a playgroup. The vast majority of our members are in playgroups and they are the heart of our organization. If you join as a Support Group/Alumni Member and decide at a later date to join a playgroup, that is a simple online process. For more information read our Membership Information page.

2. How is my contact information used?

Please fill out your email address and mailing address completely. Most of your membership benefits are communicated by email, and twice a year our Las Madres newsletter is mailed to you. Please note: Las Madres does not disclose membership information to outside parties. We encourage you to share complete, accurate contact information, as only your other playgroup members will see it and it reduces effort of our volunteer members having to follow up for missing information.

3. How do I remit payment?

We encourage you to pay by credit card as checks require manual processing by our volunteer mom who is our Executive Treasurer. *Please Note*: If you pay by credit card, your credit card statement will show a charge from ClubExpress, NOT Las Madres. ClubExpress handles our billing and payment tracking for our membership dues. You will not see a charge from Las Madres on your credit card statement.

4. What else do I need to know?

Please make sure your browser is set to allow pop-ups. Our website is optimized for Internet Explorer. When signing up for a playgroup, please enter your child's date of birth with complete numbers, such as 03/01.2007, and not as May 6 07. If you have any difficulty completing the registration form, call 1-877-HLP-CLUB (457-2582). We encourage you to remit payment by credit card for faster processing. When you register you will see the "Interests" screen. By checking any of these gorups that interest you, you will automatically be joined to our free email lists which include our Social and Support Groups. Once you are a paid member, it is very important that you log into this website and go to the Member Benefits and Info page to take advantage of all of your membership benefits.

5. What happens after I complete registration?

Once you register for your trial membership online, an automatic notice will go out to the playgroup(s) you have chosen to trial. They will get in touch with you and will give you information about the playgroup, meeting times and locations, etc. Please give the playgroup New Member Contact a few business days to contact you.

*Important* You will not have full website, playgroup, or other membership priviledges until you become a paid member. The purpose of the trial membership is to introduce you to a playgroup and let you experience a taste of what Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups has to offer! You may use the trial period to preview as many playgroups in our organization as you wish however; at the end of tthe trial, should you have not completed your online membership application, your trial membership will be terminated and will not be reinstated for any additional length of time.

There is only one trial period available for any one individual. As a participating trial member you are also required to read, accept and agree to Las Madres' release of liability statements governing your participation in activities and computer communication. This liability statement is a part of the online membership registration form. You will not be able to log in to this website as a trial member. You will be prompted to complete the membership form by remitting payment if you attempt to log in. When you decide to join Las Madres as a pad member, please do not re-register. Simply log in under your trial membership, and you will be prompted to complete payment.

6. I am pregnant with my first child. Can I join without knowing the name or sex of my child?

Yes you can! Just fill out the online registration form, and use "baby" for the first name. If you do not know the sex of your child, you still need to choose one. After your baby is born, you must edit your membership profile with the baby's name and sex by logging into this website and going to your Profile and editing your playgroups.

7. I am planning on returning to work in a few weeks. Do you have a playgorup that accoodates the full time working hours?

Yes. If you know you will be returnign to work, you may want to join or trial the Working Moms playgorup in addition to your neighborhood playgroup. There is one Working Moms playgroup for each Club year.
