President's Message
When my husband Chris and I moved to San Jose from Australia eleven years ago, we left our family and friends behind in search of a new life here in America. When I discovered I was pregnant, I was excited, but also felt anxious and alone. To go through as something as life changing as having a baby without my family by my side was a daunting prospect.
Everything changed after I joined Las Madres when my daughter Veronica was 3 months old. I have treasured the friendships that have made, and am truly thankful for all the amazing support that we have received. Las Madres has become our own extended family, in the absence of our own.
Our organization offers many ways for parents to network - through the playgroups, Club and member-wide events and online forums. We continue to expand our parenting resources and make further enhancements to our online services.
I am thrilled to be serving as Executive President for the next two years, and feel privileged to be working with such a passionate and talented group of women on the Executive Board.
