Our Speaker Night Committee organizes monthly lectures and workshops, presenting topics relevant to our parenting and early childhood education
needs.
Past topics have included:

- Baby Sign Language
- Estate & Financial Planning
- Saving for College
- Choosing a Preschool
- Nutrition
- Sleep Training
- Discipline
- And much more...
In 2009, Las Madres was thrilled to be a participating sponsor to bring renowned parenting expert and widely published author, Alfie Kohn to the Bay Area, where he presented a lecture to over 4000 parents and educators.

Las Madres University
Las Madres is a 100% volunteer run California non-profit. Las Madres Unviersity provides our parents with workshops and trainings all designed to
further develop their skills as a volunteer for Las Madres.
Additional
specialty parenting workshops are also being offered for those families
with more specific and diverse needs.

- The Elephant in the Room: Talking with your child about grief and loss
- Time Management for New Mommies
- Travel with your kids
- Sexuality and intimacy before, during and after pregnancy
