Las Madres Parent Education is pleased to bring you a webinar on "What You Need to Know About Choosing a School in the American K-12 Education System," presented by our very own Las Madres member, teacher and doctoral candidate, Kassi Chappell.
Neighborhood schools, magnet schools, charter schools, private schools...so many choices! How can you find the information you need to make the best choice for your children and family?
In this webinar, you will learn how you can you find out what schools are out there, how to read the information that is available about them, and where to look if you still have questions. It will cover various criteria to evaluate and narrow down the choices. While there is general information for schools in California, the concepts are also relevant to families moving out of state.
Specific examples of schools and materials will be mentioned, but families are welcome to bring questions about anything they are interested in. This will be an interactive presentation.
Speaker: Kassi Chappell has an M.A. in Bilingual Education, an M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction, and an Ed.D* in Curriculum & Instruction. She has been a Las Madres member since 2018 when she had her first of two children.
