Las Madres members are invited to attend a parent education series consisting of three workshops that will discuss the transition of families getting back to a “New Normal '', and how to help prepare children for this change.
Workshop 2: Mindful Technology – Weaning Ourselves off Screens and Getting Back to Pre-pandemic Interactions
Presenter: Susan Stone, BSE, Parent Educator, Parents Place
Description: Our year of living online is slowly coming to an end. And now it's time for us all, children and parents, to reduce the amount of time we spend in front of our screens. Be the role model your children need, and begin to build back a family schedule and traditions that don't include screen time. It might feel challenging, but together your family can learn to reclaim valuable in-person and screen-free time.

Two-step REGISTRATION for each event:
(1) RSVP on this Workplace event listing (this is extremely important for future programing)
AND

Cost: Free
This series is hosted and sponsored by the Stanford WorkLife Office, and all presenters are parent educators from Parents Place.
Workshop 1: Thursday, July 22, from 3:00pm– 4:30pm:
Helping Parents and Children Cope with Anxiety as the World Reopens
Workshop 3: Wednesday, August 4 from 3:00pm – 4:30pm:
Re-Emergence: How to Ease Back in to Family Life after the Pandemic
Each workshop is a stand-alone presentation, so it is not necessary to attend all three events should you not be able to make all of them.
Unfortunately, these webinars may not be recorded.
